Takashi Miike received the Keys of the Fantastic Pavilion at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), where the Japanese filmmaker presented the neo-noir Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo (2026). Fantasia Fest’s Artistic Director Mitch Davis, acting as Ambassador for the Pavilion, handed the Keys to the incredibly prolific Miike, whose wild oeuvre encompasses crime, horror, samurai, fantasy, western, and V-Cinema.

The 2026 edition of the Razor Reel Flanders Film Fest is set to take place in Bruges from October 29 to November 7. Yeon Sang-ho’s Colony (2026) is serving as opening film, while Joko Anwar’s Ghost in the Cell (2026) screens on closing night.
The Sitges Film Festival added to its 2026 lineup documentaries like Dernsie: The Amazing Life of Bruce Dern (2026), Full Moon Rising: The Charles Band Story (2026), and Rubberhead: The Life & Monsters of Steve Johnson (2026).
The 59th Sitges is happening from October 8 to 18.

Quentin Tarantino’s novelization The Adventures of Cliff Booth hits shelves on December 8, two weeks after the IMAX release of David Fincher’s movie The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth (2026), which was certainly penned by Tarantino himself.
Book synopsis: “Hollywood, 1977. The Swinging Sixties are long gone, but Clifford Booth keeps on keeping on. War hero, stuntman, bartender, cinema projectionist… with the occasional clandestine services for his friends.”
Shudder presented the official poster for the horror anthology V/H/S/Mixtape (2026), ahead of its Beyond Fest world premiere on September 30 and streaming debut on October 9. There’s also more details about each segment:
Renee Zhan’s Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance: “A studio attempts to reboot a long-cancelled puppet show with a mysterious past. Featuring work from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.”
David Moreau’s Heartbeat: “A pair of YouTube urbex influencers find themselves trapped in a decommissioned military facility used for sonic experimentations.”
Ernest Dickerson’s The Music of Mr. Sze: “A college film student’s documentary project uncovers the reclusive life of a tormented musician.”
RZA’s Death Tone: “A young sound engineer follows her late Dad’s instructions to create the ultimate track.”
Wrap Segment: “GWAR hosts skits and music videos in an MTV-style show from hell. Featuring music videos directed by Tobias Forge and Flying Lotus.”
The second trailer for Other Mommy (2026) is here. Rob Savage’s horror feature opens theatrically on October 9 and follows “a young girl, Bela (Arabella Olivia Clark), who forms a relationship with a sinister entity in her home who looks uncannily like her own mother (Jessica Chastain).”
