Submissions are now open for the 59th Sitges Film Festival, set to take place from October 8 to 18. The final registration deadline to submit your work – via FilmFreeway or Festhome – is July 16. For more details, visit the festival’s website.

Another genre fest that is calling for entries is the KORK International Horror Film Festival (October 30-November 1, in Istanbul, Turkey). The late deadline is May 1, while the extended deadline is June 1.

The sci-fi flicks Egghead Republic (2025) and Junk World (2025), the documentaries Boorman and the Devil (2025) and Exorcismo: The Transgressive Legacy of Clasificada ‘S’ (2024), and the J-horror picture Mag Mag (2025) are part of Offscreen’s 2026 program. The festival is celebrating its 19th edition from March 11 to 29 in Brussels, Belgium.

Fantastic Fest announced that its 2026 badges “go on sale on February 25 at 11 a.m. (CT).” The Austin-based film fest is happening from September 17 to 24.

Over Your Dead Body (2026) – the American remake of Tommy Wirkola’s The Trip (I onde dager, 2021) –, has gotten an official trailer, ahead of its world premiere at SXSW on March 14. Over Your Dead Body, featuring Jason Segel, Samara Weaving and Timothy Olyphant, hits U.S. theaters on April 24.
Synopsis: “A dysfunctional couple head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other.”

Shudder released the trailer for Bodycam (2025), a found-footage horror movie involving “two police officers” who “attempt to cover up a tragic accident… only to reveal that their body cameras aren’t the only things watching them.” Bodycam will be available to stream on Shudder from Friday, March 13.
