The “director’s cut” of Ken Russell’s legendary and controversial The Devils (1971) was presented at the Cannes Film Festival back in May; and now you can watch its official teaser, ahead of its one-week theatrical run, starting October 16.
“Assembled from the original camera negative, this new 4K restoration presents Ken Russell’s definitive vision of The Devils by referencing the edit he privately constructed in 2004. Ken Russell’s The Devils is the uncut and unfiltered theatrical experience that Russell always envisioned, and the first time the film will be presented restored and in 4K.”

The Horror Section, Eli Roth’s company, is releasing in U.S. theaters a new slasher on the day before Halloween (October 30): Stiletto (2026), starring Gigi Gustin. The flick was directed by Samuel Gonzalez Jr.; here’s its synopsis: “In Stiletto, on the one-year anniversary of the brutal murder of an exotic dancer, a serial killer with a specific kink is afoot, stalking and slaughtering his favorite performers to feed his perverse collection of pumps.”

Nightborn (Yön lapsi, 2026), the latest horror feature from Hanna Bergholm (Hatching), begins streaming on Shudder on July 31. Nightborn stars Seidi Haarla and Rupert Grint as, respectively, “Saga and her British husband Jon, who move to an isolated house deep in the forest with dreams of starting a perfect family. But as soon as their baby is born, despite the reassurance of all around her, Saga knows there’s something terribly wrong with her son. As their marriage starts to crack, Jon struggles to support his wife, but only Saga suspects the disturbing truth about her newborn.”

Dark Sky Films shared the intense trailer for Cruel Hands (2026), Al Kalyk’s thriller about “Maria (Mavournee Hazel) and her 12-year-old son Dai (Diesel La Torraca) as they flee her violent husband (Josh McConville) and seek refuge in an abandoned farmhouse.” After screening at Beyond Fest Chicago last April, Cruel Hands is now hitting cinemas and digital in the U.S. on July 24.

The 4K version of Tobe Hooper’s masterpiece The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) is returning to the big screen across the U.S. on August 18, in order to celebrate for the second time the so-called Texas Chain Saw Day.
