The Sitges Film Festival is joining forces again with the Marché du Film for the 6th edition of Fantastic 7, their anual international showcase of seven genre films that are in the work-in-progress stage. The objetive is to highlight these projects with a live pitching session during the Marché du Film in Cannes, to be attended by “potential investors, sales agents and distributors.”
This year’s edition of Fantastic 7 will have Spanish filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo – the director of 28 Weeks Later (2007) and Netflix’s Damsel (2024) – as its “Fantastic Godfather”.
The Fantastic 7 showcase will take place on Sunday, May 19 (12:00 hrs., Palais K, Palais des Festivals). Check out the lineup here:
