Johnny is back in the teaser trailer for Chris Nash’s In a Violent Nature 2 (2026). The slasher will hit theaters sometime in 2026, via IFC and Shudder.

Official synopsis: “Johnny’s violent rampage leads him to a summer camp, just as a young, outcast camper is forced to spend the night with his counsellor sister and her friends at their annual end-of-season party.”

Another highly anticipated flick that just got its first teaser is Kane Parsons’ Backrooms (2026). The liminal horror A24 movie, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve, opens in U.S. cinemas on May 29.

Synopsis: “A strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.”

Shudder unveiled the poster for the documentary 1000 Women in Horror (2025), which was based on Alexandra Heller-Nicholas’ book of the same name. Directed by Donna Davies, the doc is a “deep dive into how women pioneers revolutionized horror cinema through their groundbreaking work as directors, actors and creators since 1895, leaving an indelible mark on the genre’s evolution.” 1000 Women in Horror starts streaming on Shudder on March 20.

Addison Heimann’s Touch Me (2025) screened last year at such festivals as Sundance, SXSW, and Fantasia. It’s now heading to U.S. theaters (on March 27) and VOD (on April 2). You can watch here its full trailer.

Synopsis: “Two cringe millennial slackers enter a dangerous cat and mouse game with a sexy alien whose touch removes their anxiety and depression.”
