New York-based indie studio Screen Anthology is developing the feature film Forever Young, based on one of the segments from Sinphony (2022), the horror anthology conceived on the social audio app Clubhouse. Haley Bishop, star of the acclaimed screenlife horror movie Host (2020), penned the script and is set to direct.

The film follows Lauren, a woman approaching 30 who participates in a viral social media dance craze that traps her in a nightmarish time warp: high school in the early 2000s. Beyond its blend of humor and scares, the movie explores the societal pressures women face to remain eternally young.

Forever Young is a twisted love letter to my formative years,” said Bishop and added that “it grabs you by the throat and says: get in loser, we’re going for a ride.”

Screen Anthology’s Michael Galvan and Sebastien Bazile will produce alongside Alex Noyer of You Know Films (Sound of Violence, Love Is the Monster, 808) and Ambassador of the Fantastic Pavilion, Tim Willrich (Anima Entertainment), and Executive Producers Mike Tomczyk (NBC) and Donovan Rodriques (Sunset Pictures).

The project was featured at the Fantastic Pavilion in Cannes and is slated to begin production later this year.
